The brakes for the TBR7 are sufficient after Tao switched both wheels to disc brakes. As such, it’s not much of an upgrade game, but a repair or replace missing items.

A common item missing from the TBR7 during shipping is the rear brake clevis. Tao stopped zip-tieing before shipping. Because of that, they are hard to come by and no good direct bolt on replacement has been available. We have two options for you, 1 is the cheaper Amazon alternative, but you will need a 8.3mm drill bit, or 5/16, to widen the hole on your brake pedal. On the off chance you don’t have a drill bit set, that’s below too, but use what you already have!
