If you’re here, and you’re just looking for the first things you should purchase for your new TBR7 to get started, these are the parts recommended by many as this bike is not ‘road ready’ out of the box. Check the upgrades page and assembly guide for more details on how to put them on and additional modifications. Clicking any of the links below helps support TBR7.com’s operating costs, and we greatly appreciate it!
If you just wanna go on a shopping spree.. here my list of things I’d buy to enjoy a brand new TBR7.. anything less and you’ll end up doing it later.
First, change your oil, and change your spark plug. Rotella is the most recommended (a little pricier on Amazon, check local auto parts stores too) and the E3 spark plug hasn’t’ had any complaints.
Next, the carburetor. No need to immediately purchase an aftermarket carb, with a few tools you can re-jet the stock carburetor. Honestly, I’d suggest replacing with the upgraded carb (PZ30 Clone) as you’ll be able to better tune it.
And for trail riders and road riders, you’ll definitely want to adjust the front sprocket. The rear sprocket can wait until you ride enough on the road that you definitely need a higher top speed. This 17T has been used by multiple 2021 owners and verified as good. This will get you flirting with 60mph+ but still leave your low end torque. If you are a highway driver, you may want to later look into the rear sprocket also.
